Day 365: Portland

Wow - how is it Day 365?? To celebrate the end of my project, Tim and I took a quick trip to Portland. We visited the zoo, had dinner, and walked around downtown as the sun set.

I also decided to post this last photo straight out of the camera, which I haven't done in a very long time.

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed along with this blog. If you like, you can continue to keep up with me here. I will definitely be writing about this experience, and probably starting up a new project soon (I already have some ideas!).

Cheers!

Day 364: Flowers II

Some pretty flowers I passed on my walk to campus today.

I can't believe tomorrow is 365! Stay tuned for what I hope will be a great last day!

I am very fond of our bright red door.

Day 362: Quote

I am in love with this quote. And thanks to Wikipedia, I can tell you that her name is Karen Blixen, not Blixe. Silly iced tea bottle.

Day 361: Hike

Hendricks Park is huge, absolutely gorgeous, and just a few blocks from our house. We went there for a light walk and ended up hiking about 300 feet up in elevation.

I'm really in the home stretch now!

Day 359: Herbs II

I am obsessed with the progress of my little herb garden. So far five out of the six herbs I planted are sprouting and doing fantastic!

Day 358: Tim VI

Love.

Day 357: Potter

On a whim, Tim and I decided to go to the opening night of Harry Potter. Not the midnight show...the 3am show. We figured since we've been staying up late most nights anyway, we may as well. It was everything I wanted it to be - go see it (and bring tissues).

Day 356: Campus II

This is one of the beautiful buildings on campus I love to walk by.

Day 355: Sky III

Another shot of the sunset right outside our front door.

Day 354: Herbs

I'm so glad my little herb garden is starting to grow. I never knew oregano could be so cute.

Day 353: Lily

I've still been enjoying my anniversary flowers from Tim. They make the dining room smell like our wedding day :)

Day 352: Jellyfish

We rounded out our anniversary trip with a visit to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport.

Day 351: Anniversary

Tim and I headed to Newport this weekend for our anniversary. I can't believe it's been a year!

Day 350: Reading

In preparation for the next and last Harry Potter movie, I have been spending a lot of time at Hogwarts lately.

Day 349: Lamp

I love this shot of the lamp on my desk.

Day 348: Rose III

We have some beautiful roses growing right outside our door!

Day 347: Fireworks

Happy Fourth!

Day 346: Risk

Nerd alert! Tim and I had a rousing game of Lord of the Rings Risk. I did not win.

Day 345: Unpacking

Behold, the first complete room we have unpacked! I am particularly proud of the bookshelf devoted entirely to my stemware, wine rack, and cookbooks.

Day 344: Cooking II

Sometimes I wish my camera could capture smells. Can't go wrong with olive oil, garlic, and onion!

Day 343: Shisa

My Okinawan shisa dogs found a home in front of my Chuck Palahniuk collection. It's nice to be able to unpack.

Day 342: Aloe

Our new aloe plant - for all the sunburns we're expecting in the Pacific Northwest.

Day 341: Boxes

Now this is what it's supposed to look like when you move in...

Day 340: Dam

On the last day of our road trip, I took some pictures of the dam behind our hotel along the Columbia River before we made our way to Eugene.

Day 339: Hood

Made it to Oregon again! This was our view of Mt. Hood while driving along the Columbia River.

Day 338: Rainbow

We had to pull over in the middle of nowhere, Wyoming, to take pictures of this amazing rainbow.

Day 337: Mirror

Missouri to Oregon, day one, take two. Let's do this again...

Day 336: Trevor X

Last day in Columbia. Once again, I will miss this boy.

Day 335: Flowers

Finally catching up on my posts! (Still haven't missed a day of taking a photo.) After flying to Missouri, we got to take a lovely drive to pick up our shipment from Okinawa. I took some pictures before helping load up the truck.
