Day 300: Goose

One of the famous Broadway Village geese.

Day 295: Will

Even though it's blurry, I love this shot of my in-laws' sweet puppy, Will. He is so cute and snuggly, and it's hard for him to stay still long enough to take a good picture.

Day 232: Aquarium II

We spent most of our Friday enjoying the aquarium, until the tsunami warnings hit and we heard about everything that was happening on the mainland. So far nothing to worry about in Okinawa (knock on wood).

Day 202: Pippin IV

This is the face Pippin makes when I'm making weird noises so that he will make faces at the camera. It's the dance we do.

Day 187: Bird

I've been cropping a lot of my photos into squares lately, not sure why. I think I like the vintage feel it creates. There was plenty of light for my zoom lens today, and I got this little bird hanging out in the garden.

Day 186: Trevor VII

Yet another portrait of Trevor. He's just too cute.

Day 181: Pippin III

Something about the snow gets Pippin all riled up. It's adorable.

Day 167: Trevor VI

I can't quite get a handle on my flash yet. Good thing Trevor always takes a good photo anyway.

Day 166: Puppies III

Trevor and Opal, being adorable.

Day 165: Helo

This is my brother's cat, Helo, the most needy cat I've ever met. He sure is cute, though.

Day 164: Puppies II

We have three happy puppies back home today from the kennel!

Day 74: Dragonfly

Today was my last stop at Shelter Gardens for quite some time. I brought my zoom lens, which I have been neglecting lately in favor of the 50mm, and got to capture this cute dragonfly.

Day 73: Sheila

Had a great evening with my in-laws last night in Jeff City. This is their sweet beagle, Sheila.

Day 70: Snickelfritz II

Took a quick, impromptu trip to Springfield yesterday to see Stephanie and her sweet kitty. This cat loves hair ties more than anything in the world.

Day 68: Squirrel

I love that this project encourages me to take my camera everywhere. If I hadn't had my camera when I went to the gym today, I wouldn't have randomly decided to pop into Shelter Gardens to shoot, and I wouldn't have gotten this shot of a squirrel staring at me while perched on a skull.

Day 59: Pippin II

I love this photo for so many reasons. The look on Pippin's face is absolutely priceless. Like I just told him something unbelievable and he's sizing me up. Also, the wide open aperture on my 50mm (1.8!) lens is just amazing. I love how only his eyes are in focus, and his nose and the background are blurred. I'm having so much fun experimenting with it.

Day 56: Snickelfritz

This is Stephanie's sweet kitty, Professor Eleanor Snickelfritz. She is the loudest and sweetest kitty I know.

Day 55: Tiger

I got to take my Rebel to the zoo for the first time this week. I took a little road trip to Springfield to visit Stephanie, and ended up at the Dickerson Park Zoo...twice :) It is one of my favorite places. This tiger was rolling around like a kitty and putting on a show for me. I'm so glad I'm finally able to capture photos like this now that I have my new camera.

Day 52: Bee

Look how close I got to a bee! Yikes!

Day 50: Trevor IV

Ok, I am officially crazy dog lady. I blame Trevor - he won't stop posing.
