Day 344: Cooking II

Sometimes I wish my camera could capture smells. Can't go wrong with olive oil, garlic, and onion!

Day 329: Guacamole

I made homemade guacamole for the second time last night. I think I overestimated my skills the first time, because I realized it's pretty hard to not make great guacamole. Yum.

Day 327: Sandwich

I love how sometimes the dinners I'm not that excited about can end up being the best ones. Yum!

Day 324: Cube

Behold, the Target wine cube. Judge me if you will, but when I saw that our new Target sold wine in cube form, I just had to try it out. According to the box container, it's how the Europeans drink it, so clearly it's super classy. It's supposed to stay fresh for a month, so it saves me from drinking the rest of opening an entire bottle when I just want one glass (Tim doesn't drink white, you see). And you know what? It's not bad.

Day 323: Chips

Reason number 815 that I love Eugene - there are no less than three fish and chip shops within a couple of miles of our house. Tonight we tried out Newman's Fish Co., which is just a walk-up window that gives you fish and chips wrapped in paper and delicious spicy clam chowder.

Day 321: Coffee

Day 302: Po'boy

First day of vacation! We woke up super early and 11 hours later we were in Metairie, Louisiana. For dinner I had a shrimp po'boy, the first of many on this trip.

Day 286: Cake

Mom made Tim a welcome home cake, which was delicious.

Still on my broccoli kick. Hopefully this habit sticks around.

Day 256: Cooking

I love it when Tim cooks dinner.

One thing I definitely know how to make is muffins from a pouch - they are Jenn-proof.

Day 237: Stir-Fry

Wednesdays are Mongolian Stir-Fry night at the O Club, which happens to be a stone's throw from our apartment. We had so much fun eating our too-spicy stir-fry and talking/dreaming about the future that I think we will make it a weekly tradition.

Day 231: Wine II

We celebrated Tim's 31st birthday in style with our favorite wine.

Day 227: True/False III

For the last day of True/False, we decided we needed some lunchtime bloody marys. We also saw Armadillo, At the Edge of Russia, and Project Nim. Great weekend.

Day 223: Murry's

I think I have officially hit all of my favorite restaurants on this trip home - Flat Branch, Osaka, Shakespeare's, and last night, Murry's. Yum!

Day 222: Sushi II

How can you not love a sushi place that puts a skeptical smiley face in your spicy mayo? If you haven't checked out Love Sushi in Jeff City, I recommend it.
