Day 110: Sunset IV

I can't get enough of this view as the sun is setting. This is just from our window - I can't wait to get a tripod and actually get this shot from the top of the hill outside.

Day 109: Self-Portrait

A strange combination of variables led me to this very vulnerable self-portrait, with no make-up and crazy hair. I woke up feeling brave today, and happy. Also, I've been feeling inspired by Chookooloonks and her discussions of beauty (when will I stop finding new blogs to read?). She's awesome. So, here I am, internets!

Day 108: Memories

My feeble attempt at decorating this place. I printed out some happy memories and paper clipped them up around the apartment. I like being able to look up from the computer and see something that makes me smile.

Day 107: Sushi

Had a great date night with Tim consisting of delicious sushi and a free movie (our prize from the costume contest!). Awesome.

Day 106: Ball

The Marine Corps Ball was actually pretty fun. Dinner wasn't that great, but I actually knew more people than I thought I would and there were good drinks. And I felt pretty. And there was just a little bit of Lady GaGa.

Day 104: Glamour

This shot was supposed to be my first submission to an online photo forum weekly assignment, "Glamour." I spent so much time today setting up shots and manipulating lighting and finding backdrops, and then choosing and editing photos. When I went to submit - it's closed! I missed the contest by mere hours. Oh well, I'll get in early next week.

Day 103: Wall

Yesterday's weather was no fluke - I was actually wishing for a jacket while I was out today!

Day 102: View

It's gotten a lot cooler here lately - I didn't even have to wait for my lens to un-fog today! That's a first. I love this view from right outside the BOQ on a clear day.

Day 101: Halloween

Tim and I had a great day watching scary movies and eating our candy prizes from the contest yesterday. Happy Halloween!
